Yep i bought an iphone case and figured it needed its own thread, its from dro concepts and its made out of all carbon fiber. The case looks badass IMO and is very very well done. It cost a pretty penny costing right under a hundred bucks. I like to stand out and figured not many have this case lol

Slick. It's crazy all the stuff an Iphone can do with just a simple looking device.

I use a white Otterbox Defender when I know I'll need protection. icon_wink.gif

Otherwise, it's naked in my pocket.

I just bought some $30 plastic case wrapped in leather from the apple store.
The leather is falling off after about 8 months, and this guy at work keeps preaching to me how badass his otterbox cover is....maybe an upgrade is in my future.

I had one that sounds like what you're describing, it was a Griffin easy dock. Plastic covered in leather, it was 30 bucks, the leather starting coming off within a few months.

Then I went naked, and use the otterbox when I'm in the garage, or boating, or working outside.

Pretty nifty case icon_cool.gif You are probably looking at 10hp gain when going into the pocket, I don't know about out though, depends on your other performance mods. icon_lol.gif

I just use a plain rubber case, I don't know how anyone uses an otterbox, those cases make it like 5 times its original size icon_eek.gif

That's why I don't use it all the time. Just when I know I'll need extra protection. I was with Nextel for about 12 years before I got my iPhone, and the otterbox makes me feel like I'm carrying a bulky Nextel again.

No need to explain yourself to folks, I do think it's a bad ass case (I like real CF). Life is short, I'll spend money on things I like till the day I die, I just always make sure to have enough back for bills ;)

While the case looks pretty badass, I can't justify spending the $100 for it...

Personally I rock the Luxe case from iFrogz for $30

Figure in an average 40 hour work week comes out to 4,000/wk before taxes. Which means that you are pulling in 208,000/year before taxes. So after taxes 150K? And you drive a civic. Fast or not it is a civic. bahahaha

Trust me, 150k a year wouldn't be getting you a Lambo. Unless of course that's the only thing you owned.

150k could easily buy a lambo if you didn't live in a overly expensive house.

But I think the reason no one believes him is because he works at chase and works on cars.

Also, he said 100 an hour. The math in this thread is way off. He works at chase which I assume to be full time, and also on cars. Thus he probably works 60 hours a week or more.

Thus 60x100x52 = 312,000.

Now this would put him in the federal tax bracket which takes 33%. Thus he takes home around 210,000. Now i left out state taxes because he won't claim all the money he makes on cars as income, and he will have deductions so he will in fact pay less.

Now making 210,000 take home is a lot of money a year. I wouldn't believe anyone posting that they make that kind of money. Now if his position at Chase is an actuary / high level manager / etc it is very reasonable to believe he makes that much. But I don't know (nor do I care).

I think the case looks good. I am far to cheap for one though (now if I made significantly more money, that purchase would be easily justifiable)

Golfer, your tax math is off as well. Do you actually know how a progressive tax system work? Obviously not or else you would have made the mistake you made.

Without looking it up, I don't know where the 33% bracket starts but let's assume it's at $250,000. That mean one only pays 33% taxes on the amount of money above $250k. This means he only pays 33% on the $62k above the $250k.

Basically, if one's in the 33% tax bracket they are paying an overall tax in the high twenty percent.

I just calculated the taxes on $312k a year. Overall one would pay 28.24% ($88,103) of $312k. He would take home roughly $224k without any other deductions.

My math comment was on the 40 hrs a week, not so much the taxes. There are plenty of online calculators to calculate that, I was just being general for a quick calculation.....
