I've had a blue theme going on in my car since i started it years ago, but i'm thinking about changing to a Red theme especially after doing an install on a customer's black 09 vette.

Here's mine:

I find with the red I need a lot more LED's to get a bright glow than the blue. Red is a better color for lighting the interior WHILE driving though.

Its really hard to say. Red and blue both look good against a black surface.

I would probably say no just because you already have the blue.

I used to have everything blue (gauge cluster/hvac/pod gauges, foot wells, dome light) but after a few years of it and alot of headaches from night driving I switched to all red (well RGB and controller but it is red when driving) and I can say while it's not as bright (the human eye picks up blues and greens better) it is clearer and alot nicer to drive with at night...

All I'd say is if going for red after blue, double up on the light sources to compensate for the drop in output. I'm running the V2 wheel well kit as my interior lighting and I can say for sure that the three 4chip superflux's are brighter than the flex led strips when red to red on black.

Why not leave the blue in and add red as well ? Or take this opportunity to go RGB ? icon_biggrin.gif

I've decided to do red in the inside (crusing lights) and OEM interior lights mostly due to the fact that red is easier on my eyes for night driving.

I will be updating my underglow to more powerful LED strips so i'm still up in the air about red vs blue underglow. Both will be equal cost and installation difficulty.

Sometimes I wish I would of done red instead of Blue for the same reasons... Blue reflects off the tint and makes it more difficult to see.. Red I think would be better but im already too involved in Blue to switch.

Okay my final decision:

OEM interior lights and exterior door handles: Red

Everything else will remain blue....though may be re-aimed.
