Cutting off end of strip

Hi guys
Florida here i'm installing two six inch strips of red leds under the dash of my flame red restored 71 volkswagen superbeetle
What i would like to know is can i cut the end of the plug on the last one on the right side so it won't be hanging with out killing the lites

ii think you can only cut every third on the stips.

It would help us to know exactly which strip you bought (flex strip, ribbon, etc)...

I'm thinking he bought these: http://www.oznium.com/led-ribbon and they have a plug hanging from both ends ...and YES you can remove the plug , or tape secure it up out of the way incase you want to add additional strips later they can be plugged right into the other end and daisy chained together
