Wasn't too fond of the flamed overlay my truck came with, but eh, it wasn't bad. But, a week ago the area on the cluster that shows miles and what gear you are in stopped working. Called up repair place, $180 to fix!!! Whew, so I knew I could just buy a whole new cluster for less than half of that, so I did.

Got my new cluster today with a new overlay and installed the blue LED swap in it. Absolutely love the outcome, nice clean, sleek look. And looks badass at night. icon_cool.gif

Now all I need to do is get the rest of the interior stuff changed to blue icon_smile.gif

Take a look at the before and after:

The blue is sweet. I hate the text / dashes on those gauges, but as long as you love it icon_smile.gif

Yeah I think it looks awesome. I had a few other options lined up until I found out they don't work with Allison trannys, so this was the best that would work for my truck icon_cool.gif

What type of bulbs are you using for the backlight?

I am using 4chip LED bulbs (194 I think) with the twist lock holders, so it is just plug and play into where the old bulbs were.

And in the pics the glow kind of looks tealish, in real life it is a nice smooth dark blue, don't know why the camera can't pic it up.
