Be very careful what you use. I'm guessing your fish wont appreciate the chemicals that gas out of most silicone and glue as it cures.

Yes, make sure the silicon is completely cured. I've re-waterproofed tank edges w/ silicon and it works fine if you let it dry.

Because he's putting individual LED in a castle. I dont think strips would be the right application for this

well i figured if anything he could use the 1.2 in strips

in my aquarium i had a castle too and put the strips in there so i didnt have to deal with any waterproofing and still runs great for about 6 months now even now i dont have the castle anymore but still glows tttank

A similar trick I like to use,is to simply just cut and slide a small piece of heat shrink over the end of the l.e.d.s leads, then fill it with a bit of hot glue. This works great because the heat from the tip of the gun and the hot glue, causes the heat shrink to shrink, plus the hot glue really seals the l.e.d. up nicely. icon_cool.gif

I've put a LED inside our volcano twice, and it keeps burning out from water, despite my putting GOBS of silicone all over it. icon_evil.gif
