Picked up a Used Traxxas Nitro Sport a month ago and have been hooked.
i love these things soo much i bought a new one and traded my old sport off for a full size 77 chevy 4x4 for winter. lol here is what my Sport looks like(not mine. have gotten pics of it yet)
its all stock minus some RPM stuff(lifetime waranty) here is my new Traxxas Stampede
all stock till something breaks. once the body gets beat up im going with this:
Grave Robber body might upgrade to a T-maxx dual tuned exhaust later. anyone else into Nitro? show off your rigs. |

I haven't had mine out of the box in almost 5 years now. But I ran almost 6 gallons of fuel through the motor that I have.
It was a complete BLAST when I was running it all the time. Edit: I have the HPI Nitro MT |

get the tuned exhaust! depending on which one you get it will either help with top end speed or acceleration, i got the acceleration one, and i didnt think it could get any quicker, but good lord, i think it did 0-45 in about 2 seconds vs. the 5 seconds it was doing before, at least that how quick i think it went
i got the revo 3.3 and the jato 3.3, had the 4-tec 3.3 but it was way to fast to even properly break in anywhere so i sold it. i love em all, but its alot of work to take care of, revo needs new tire rip them completely apart. im thinking of selling the jato, cause its been sitting in the garage for about 2 years. want to get the electric ones that run 70+ mph that should be fun pix...
tire damage.

I used to run an HPI RS4 nitro and I got tired of the damned thing breaking all the time. Now I just go back to my old hobby, collecting transformers. :)
These are my most frequent aquisitions... http://home.comcast.net/~jefftrexler/jetprime1.jpg |

Dude, I was thinking of reviving my HPI RC car... Sure its electric, but its still quick and requires less maintenance... I just need to fix the axl and buy some new bodies for it... Should be a nice hobby revival

I used to have an E-Maxx. Sold it to Penrod's brother. Wish I still had it, but if I did I would have upgraded to nitro by now anyway with a T-Maxx. Awesome machines.

Had an old HPI Nitro MT, loved that damn thing.. put somewhere around 9-10 gallons through it before it met an untimely, yet extremely entertaining jump over the house (followed by the throttle jamming and it tearing off into the path of a school bus). Tuned exhaust made a substantial difference too, definitely worth the monies.
Been wanting to pick another up to blast around the neighborhood and during breaks on four-wheeling trips, just been dumping too much money into the XJ since I keep breaking stuff on it. |
