Anybody ever used it?
Its the way of using sounds and white noise to trance your mind into a altered state... Things like weed, hallucinagins, cocaine anything... even mood alterers Started to use it but i was to distracted so i'll try again later.... |

I've tried a couple times. Most of the time people would distract me so it wouldn't work. There was one time where I tried it before going to bed (don't remember what dose), and I started to feel really uncomfortable so I stopped which means it must have been working.

Mind Machines . Looks like 'iDoser' is just a series of sound files for generating binaural beats on your iPod . Its not completely without merit but your set and setting have to allow you to be focused without distractions and you've got to overcome a certain kind of predisposition to prevent signal matching in your head . In other words, if you're already in an altered state, or if you're relaxed or meditating, or have conditioned yourself to be very receptive to this kind of signal, it can definitely work . But the marketing is kind of misleading . You're not going to be able to pop into a McDonalds, play five minutes of a "weed" track, and be stoned with the munchies by the time your cheeseburger is ready . It doesn't work like that . You cannot simulate specific drug experiences, nor can it be used for long-lasting brain state changes . The alterations are temporary and of a very general nature . The actual mind machines have a set of strobing (typically LED) mono or multi-colored lenses as well as headphones, to reinforce the beat visually as well as audibly and is, in my experience, much more effective . |

That tread is hilarious . If people really want to hallucinate and experience altered states of consciousness they should try drugs, not mp3's .
