Here are two more recent pics i just took. I'm not completely satisfied becaue I would like my vents to be brighter than what they are. they are a little brighter in person than on these pics but not by much. I was a pain in the ass getting in those areas though and I definately dont want any light source to be visible.
Any suggestions on what I should use??? I'm thinking about the ribbon LED's but if i use those the light will mostly reflect off the top of the inner vent. I currently only have one 5mm LED in each vent.. My new Dash guages however, are not lit by me. that was something I got off ebay to replace the stock black face with red lights. This one is a White face which you can see in better light, and it lights up blue as you can see in the pictures below, it also has a dimmer and can be switched between green and blue.
any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. |

replace your 5mm LEDs with Superflux LEDs. I have one red superflux in each side vent and two in the center vent and they are plenty bright, even for red.

I had superflux before and they just didnt seem that bright. and at one point I noticed that the blue superflux is a different color than the blue 3/5 mm LED's. I was thinking maybe the LED modules.. what do you think about those???

I like the LED modules, I have a short black module in my defrost vent, but I'm not quite sure how well the light would project in a vent.
If you don't like the color of the superflux, then maybe try adding another 5mm LEDs to each vent. |

You could use the flex strip and then cut the length when you find the right amount of glow.
