A couple miles long by hundreds of feet wide.
Golden, wind swept virgin sand, with an occasional coconut or lobster shell. Views of Molokai and Oahu in the far distance. I was there for two hours, and there was literally NO ONE ELSE around. Didn't see nor hear a single person, boat, plane, car. Nothing. I guess you could say I transcended into a different world. How to get here: Fly to Honolulu, and then take a small plane to Lanai. Rent a Jeep at Dollar car rental. Drive about 11 miles down the Polihua 4x4 trail. It is quite bumpy and takes 1 hour as you pass a lunar-rock-looking landscape called "garden of the gods". The island of Lanai is pretty quiet. NO stoplights. NO fast food joints. Only about 3000 people, and about 30 miles of paved road.

Moscow is too cold, although it could be fun.
Thailand for 4 months starting in late November I think. Found a villa in Koh Samui for $1500 for 6 months. ($250 a month haha) |

The drunk Russians in Moscow might be fun to watch. Apparently they like to get sloshed and fight each other over the smallest things.

I think they're called Barefeet or something like that. My friend has a pear and he wears them when we go hiking or camping -- says they're reallly comfortable and he can climb like a mother **** in them... |

Was stationed at Kaneohe Bay in the late 80's and made it to all but the Big Island. You ever get back, you need to check out the black sand beaches on Molokia. Literally only a few hundred year round residents on the whole island and whats wild, is you can be sitting on the beach with no people or sounds anywhere...the suddenly a battalion of Marine landing craft come crashing ashore and scare the purple sh** out of you..LOL

^^Really? No offence and I'm sure they are comfortable/function great, but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those in public.
