Want to wire one LED bright/dim from two sources

Looking for advice on the attached diagram. Will this work and what R values for the resistors and what diodes should I use.

I don't see a need for diodes. Perhaps you could try 1 x 560 ohm resistor for the bright. And a couple 560 ohm resistors in series for the dim.

I PREFER to use a voltage regulator , Use a 9 volt for the dim , then regular 12 volts for the bright ... Or use the PCM dimmer Oz sells , it makes it adjustable

I've clarified the layout to show what the switch controls. I thought that without the blocking diodes, there would be crossover current to both relays at the same time. I guess I know just enough to be dangerous. icon_sad.gif

Thanks, but I just want the LED as an indicator light showing which circuit was activated.

My bad I thought you wanted a two brightness LED band in the foglights (ALA Audi headlights)
