Wow, do you think the suspension in my car would work? I know a couple people who would help me do this. Last edited by Ryu on Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:41 pm, edited 2 times in total |

More specific titles plzkthx.
I dunno if that's worth it or not, could be screwed up. But if you're swift with the swap, guess it's not much sweat off your back. |

No, you can not switch suspension systems from a truck to a car.
Your car uses air struts, where-as an s10 uses air bags w/ a link system. Depending on what they did when they bagged it will also change what you need to swap. If they used air ride control arms you will need to replace more then just the bags with springs etc. |

x2. They probably have A LOT of work done to it, and the frame is probably notched in the back, linked, etc. So you'd need leaf springs, blocks, shocks, a grinder probably to remove link tabs to put stock leafs on. And thats just the back. Front could be drop spindles, different control arms, and in some cases, the stock Spring mount in the front had been hacked away to make room for bags when deflated. |

This is worthy of a facepalm.
If you want to bag your car buy specific air-struts for it. |

If you know jack **** about struts then you should stay away from air suspension or any suspension modifications at all for your saftey.

And when something breaks and you are stranded or need something repaired and can't get help you are ****. Unless you know what you are doing I wouldn't do something that extensive to your suspension.
But what do I know I have installed a couple air systems and has had everything from lowering springs to coilovers on his car. So be sure to not listen to me. Or pork or clutch....or anyone else that knows what the hell we are talking about. |

Just for reference. You would need something like this
The s10 has this
You could see why It wouldn't work very well. |
