does anyone know what led the blackberry's use. the led on the back that is used for the camera light i learned last night that this led is incredibly bright and was just wondering if anyone had any idea what type of led it would be

Its most likely just an RGB surface mount LED...maybe a PLCC? You'd need to open it up and take a pic for us to make a more educated guess. I know that if your really wanna light up a small spot and want a wide spread of light, the PLCC LEDs do a great job.

Well I can't really bust open my phone to take a picture of the led but it doesn't seem to be an rgb it almost looks as though it could be something like a superflux
