I'm getting ready to start my first diy with lights in my 2000 Toyota Corolla.
I have a couple of questions though. 1. If the door switch is negative switched, do I hook the negative lead of the led to the door switch wire or the other way around? 2. Each door has a switch and separate wire, I wonder can I hook up leds to different doors but get all the lights to come on when I open one door? 3.What does negative switched mean? THANKS ALOT!. I'm enjoying the answers I get in this forum. |

Negitive Switched means When the door is Opened te switch GROUNDS, hence Negitive switched
Yuo CAN just connect them across the dome lights (observing correct polarity) and theywill come on whatever door is opened (like the stock dome ligts) |

Yep, I had this very exact question...I just don't remember when I post it. Well if you want to reverse the polarity so when you dome light ups you will get positive polarity, connect it to a relay. They are pretty cheap nowadays. Look up on the forums about relays and how to hook them up. I had floor lights that when I open the door they light up and they were connected to a relay.
