Like every used car it needs some work to make it look the way you want it to be. Hopefully no one on this forum just buys a car and leaves it as is. That's kinda the point to making the car "your car".
Do what you want to it and don't worry about what anyone else says; they are not going to be driving it. The childish bickering really needs to stop. It's sometimes no suprise why people start threads on here about having issues in their personal lives if this is how they really are around the people they care about. |

if your going for the show car look, i'd probably pull the FG box out and carefully re-sand and fill in spots that need it and re-paint. Also having 3 different brands, one being xplod to power the whole system, doesn't look too great IMO. Though it may sound good, doesn't really blend.

Well i'm picking up the car today.. had to go to the bank to get the money and didnt have time untill today.
I'm probably gonna look thru the car...sit in it and think..sit outside of it and think..and decide what I'm gonna do with what as well as decide where lights can go and what lights would look best where. Since i live in a ghetto town..most likly the box is gonna go to the back...but I might move the amps to the front one day..i saw a car in a magazine once with the amps in the cieling..but they wont be the xplods that are there currently. I'll def buy some better/thinner ones. As far as the body kit..idk..i like it...but I like the original 240sx look as well. That really all depends on money availabilty since if I change the body kit or take it off It will require painting..and that paint job is expensive. Althought I would like to change its color fully one day so when I do that..I will obviously change/take off the bodykit I want to trade the wheels for some black wheels with a crome lip..or get some chrome wheels and powder coat them black except for the lip. I like the 17's though..they are staying that big. As for the performance mods - I'm not a big racer..so since it already has an exaust system..I will probably just add a short ram intake..new sparkplug/spark plug wires .. you know simple stuff. Mechanics isnt my deal...and as long as I can go faster then cars going the speed limit on the interstate I'm cool. And this goes out to all the haters -

The bend is because the front bumper of the body kit is missing a screw. That will be the first thing I fix. |

The amps are easy to relocate. Honestly I'd say just hide everything in the trunk, this way you have a back seat that you can use and nobody will think anything of it. The car is already a highly sought after car so you gotta be care full as it is. |

The concern with the audio is the gauge wiring you are planning to use. That looks like 8 gauge, which will overheat and potentially cause a fire. Upgrade to 4 gauge at a minimum, but strongly recommend the 0/1 gauge if you plan to really pump up the power to that equipment. Also the other benefit of cleaning up that wiring is to keep from picking up the annoying "alternator whine". Make sure there are fuses or circuit breakers in-line.
Again, not picking, just trying to help prevent fires. |
