Help! I just can't get enough light in my truck!
What I'd like to do is run power to 4x 10"pirrana bars (2 under footwells, 2 under seats) to a 4ft LED strip behind my back seat. They are all plug and play, but how much is too much? I'm counting 60 led's from the pirrana bars and 72 from the strip for 132 total. The longest led strip says you can go 32ft before noticing any dimming, thats 576 led's but all in 1 strip. I want them to come on with my ambient lighting, as well as have an on/off switch. Is there a way I could also wire them to beat with my my subs? I've been doing some research on these forums, this topic was very helpful: http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic15422 Should I tap the 'accessory' 12v wire, that powers the lights/radio? Would I need to add a fuze/diode? I know I'm a noob to this, so thanks for being patient with me. This is a great site, it's already giving me too many ideas. I'll post some pictures when I finish the project. |

If I'm tap into my cig lighter, I don't need to add a fuse, as it already has one? Would that be big enough for this application or should I go another route.
This looks like the way to go -The switch would be grounded -The 'Battery' would be the Cig Lighter tap -Run a second wire from the courtesy lights to Pos+ wire after the switch
