Nice pickup....

May I suggest:
Leveling Kit 2-2.5"
Tinted windows
Exhaust system
and you can change out the stock FX4 decals on the bed. www.patriotdecals.com can hook you up with custom ones for cheap icon_wink.gif

I also highly suggest a programmer. Will really wake up the 5.4 and get rid of the hesitation when you step on the throttle. No longer takes that 1-1.5 sec for the auto tranny to downshift into the next gear icon_wink.gif

make sure to head over to F150online.com if you have any questions about the truck icon_wink.gif Also just be aware that the late 04 and 05 models have issues with the Cam Phaser knock, just annoying nothing that will damage the engine. Also have issues with starter grind and be careful dealing with the fuel injectors. Some people have had them break off inside the engine when changing them. Ford has a 100k extended warranty on them if you have any issues.

Congrats on a great purchase and you will love the FX4 icon_cool.gif

just read about the "shuttering" on the 06 you were looking at. That would be the fuel injector problem which causes the engine to shut down. It is def something you dont want to mess with especially in a new vehicle.

Congrats again on the 04, smart choice

if anyone can tell me id appreciate it.
i put my HIDs outta the HHR into the truck and the drivers side is strobing.
i read somewhere that it has to do with the DRLs. i don't hink mine has DRLs.

i can't find the thread about it though and its **** me off.

So what was the cost of truck, other was 20k, what deal did you get with this one?

HID issue.. Did you try swapping the HID's and seeing if it strobes on the passenger side or if its a drivers side problem? Could help in figuring out if its a Truck issue or HID issue.

the bulb is 9008...if they are strobing you need a wiring harness as it is not getting constant power to the HID ballast which is causing it to pulse. My guess is your stock wiring is having issues with it or your HID kit does not have high quality wiring.

The F150 does not have DRL icon_wink.gif

305/55/20 is a 33" tire.....same as 12.5x55x20

That is what Im sporting in Toyo Open Country MT....good AT tires are BFG AT KO or Nitto Terra Grappler...MUDS I would stick with Toyo MT or BFG KM2 icon_wink.gif

with an aftermarket wheel biggest tire you can fit with a 2" leveling kit is 33"

If you want 35's you can use a leveling kit but will need a wheel that is similar to the stock backspacing and offset or the tires wont fit...also widest you can go is 285.

with a level you can tuck 325/55/20 icon_wink.gif

i plan on getting the 2.5" level kit
this guy wants stock wheels and tires for his f150.

thinking about trading him.
both sets have the same tread wear.
so a 33x12.50x20 tire will fit with the level kit?

might have to invest in some mudders if i get these.
