Can you identify the Kelvin rating of these lights? |

Trying to determine the Kelvin rating of the HIDs in this photo. They go very well with the Cool White - Side Emitting LED Strip and want to match them up with the ones I just got in the mail. Was originally planning 6000K, but these look more like 8000K in my opinion. Any thoughts or other photos are greatly appreciated!!! |

Trying to judge color temperature through a photo is sort of like trying to shoot a moving object blind folded.
White balance and other settings on a camera will change how light appears. Not to mention that I highly doubt your monitor is calibrated, thus making it even worse. |

8 or 10k....depends on the kit though and wattage (35 or 55)
I would lean more towards 8K. Check my mustang gallery for comparison of 6k heads and 8k fogs. here ya go:

lol funny thing is most hid vendors don't regulate the colors that well so I've seen 6K's that looked like 8k's and 8K's look like 5k's...

I fixed it for you. I would be willing to bet your "5k" isn't even what 5k on the black body curve looks like. |

I agree more or less with the 8k but Corv is right in that its not really possible to make a very accurate guess based on the photo .

I believe that is a 10k or an 8k. If i was to place my left nut on the line...It would be 8k. Because 10k usually is a little more blue and the lighting is quite poor.

I guess what I am trying to compare is what HID kelvin range is closer to that of the "cool white" color leds... the 6000K or 8000K is closer to the cool white coloring?

If you get the DDM tuning 55w 10,000k HID's...they look as clear as that light post ;)
