Hello,

I am trying to source some LED's but I don't seem to find them any place. If you guys on the forum know where I can find them I would be most appreciative. I would like to find the little brackets that support the LED. I am wanting to put these on my killer Glass tubes. Not sure if you guys are familiar with Killer Glass. I have also tried to attached a picture of the LED's I am looking for ( No luck so here is the link to it. http://www.killerglass.com/store/index.php?main...amp;cPath=68&products_id=182) as I do not know what the model number is. This is the only picture I have and it apears to be sort of flat and not a round bulb. I do know it will hook into a 12 volt system. I know Killer Glass sells them but they want $25 for one of them. I think thats a bit steep and I need 4 of them.

Thanks so much,
DeLoreanGuy

So they are selling a zip tie with an led on it for 25 bucks....damn I am in the wrong business.

Browse the oznium store to get some ideas. I could pretty much guarantee you could find something to give you the same result or better for less money.

u need 4? how many tubes do you have? i havent ever seen any LEDs that were comparable to the KG leds in size and output. tho i have seen a wide variety of led products ziptied to a kg tube and anything will take the heat.

Yeah that's what I said! Plus shipping is $25 on top of that.! I have browsed the oznuim site and am still not sure what I am going to go with. I would like to find something simulare to the KG style that way the light doesn't over power the coolant and you can't see it flow to well. Also kinda looking for something flat so the light only shines in the direction of the tube.

Yes I need 4, I have 2 tubes and I want to attach 2 of the LED's at each end of the KG tube if I go with the same style LED. You would think there has to be a supplier thta KG is getting their LEd's from. I am suprised no one has seen these before. I guess I'm not if I can't seem to source them either.

those are massive and ugly compared to the kg leds. youd prolly be better off trying a pcll2 LED....

i am sur that they are going to be hidden under the tube though, IMO, pretty much anything that will put up with engine temp and be sleak enough to fit on there would work.

the tube is glass. you see through it. lol. the kg leds are nice because they barely poke off the black tubing so you dont really notice them.

(my old tC is listed on the tC product page fwiw, as i was sponsored by them.)

im all about saving money when possible but for the kg there really isnt any other option. you may try calling and ask for Tim (owner) he may cut you a deal on the leds.

We had a guy buy the "anodized" fitting kit (with the phoney braided steel cable covers)
and used those to cover the stainless straps and the leds he installed

Not sure what all those acronyms stand for. But It looks like the "5050" product that Oznium is working on looks like a good choice. Phil say's they should be in the store at the new year. I'm not sure how KG comes up with their pricing and like I said they are getting them from someone.

DeLoreanGuy where exactly is Dayton? I live in Mentor, Ohio and there's a DeLorean sitting in the driveway a few house down the road from me. I don't think the guy ever drives it but it's definately there (except for those occasional nights it jumps back to 1955). It's not you, is it?

Yeah that place was called kaypax. They had all the left over inventory and just a few complete cars not 100. There was one guy there that assembled 3 cars from the enventory there . Anyways they sold everything in an auction to Stephen Wynne back in the late 90's. They then moved everything to Houston Texas in 2000 to a 30k square foot facility. Now they sell parts online and referbish cars. They are called DMCH and have opened up 5 facilities across the the states to service D's.

Thanks a lot. I have put a lot of work into it and there is a lot of things that I have done but just procrastenated on putting on the site. I am in the process of doing more engine cosmetics such as chromed a/c compressor killer glass and a SS air intake breather. Hint's this brings me to this site to look for LED's for my killer glass and engine compartment.

Drove by earlier and the DeLorean was gone. Either the guy who lives there finally drove it or sold it. You could see the distinct dead patch of grass where the car sat forever though, hmm.
