well im the person sanding the dash, we started at about 4:30 5 oclock ish and finished up about 9, 9:15. but the time spend was well worth it.

lol we ripped everything off...removed the airbag...but its back in of course, safety first icon_razz.gif and glad to see you finally made your way over here mike icon_smile.gif and yeah it took us about 5 hours to take it off....cover it plus other misc. pieces and assemble it all again....:-( it sucked.

Wow, sanding dashes is such a pain. But i found this amazing thing at Home Depot. It's a sanding sponge, comes in coarse, medium, and fine grits (the fine is 150 grit, which is what i use) and since it's a sponge it conforms to all kinds of shapes and curves. Makes smoothing dashes SOOO much easier. $3 a piece, It's well worth it!


EDIT: Just did a lil research, these are the ones i got: http://www.nortonconsumer.com/catalog/displayti...id=D030010010200&display=all

BUT they also have another type Which has grits all the way up to 320.

Since i didn't see the higher grit sponges in home Depot i found em online for $2.50:
