well im the person sanding the dash, we started at about 4:30 5 oclock ish and finished up about 9, 9:15. but the time spend was well worth it.

lol we ripped everything off...removed the airbag...but its back in of course, safety first  and glad to see you finally made your way over here mike and yeah it took us about 5 hours to take it off....cover it plus other misc. pieces and assemble it all again....:-( it sucked.

Wow, sanding dashes is such a pain. But i found this amazing thing at Home Depot. It's a sanding sponge, comes in coarse, medium, and fine grits (the fine is 150 grit, which is what i use) and since it's a sponge it conforms to all kinds of shapes and curves. Makes smoothing dashes SOOO much easier. $3 a piece, It's well worth it!
EDIT: Just did a lil research, these are the ones i got: http://www.nortonconsumer.com/catalog/displayti...id=D030010010200&display=all BUT they also have another type Which has grits all the way up to 320. http://www.nortonconsumer.com/catalog/displayti...id=D030010010210&display=all Since i didn't see the higher grit sponges in home Depot i found em online for $2.50: http://www.rockler.com/ecom7/findprod.cfm?sku=9929&sid=AFB47 |
