You NEED a large specific relay that costs around 100 bones for the snd battery, and a BUS line. A BUS line isn't needed - but HIGHLY recommended.

I have a Lightning Audio 200 Amp Relay, 45 bucs on EBAY (with proper fuses of course) and a Stinger SPV35 2nd battery in my Jeep.

that relay may not be enough, but then again the batteries maybe in parrell and your starting power will then be pulled from both so check what you car needs in aperage to start and divied it between the two but remember that it won't be exact cause the batteries won't be in same place with all the same type of connection and resistance. Unless the second battery kicks in when the car is started. it just depends.

that 200 Amp Relay is enough? I thought it had to be like a 250 amp relay?

thats good that that relay is enough and good luck with your battery install. i know my brother attempted to move his battery and he couldn't get his car to start after he moved it. The battery had to much resistance to reach back to the engine bay and have enough to start his car. So good luck

the relay needs to be bigger than your alternator. That's about it. If they don't make relays big enough then you'll have to go w/ an isolator, etc.
