It IS surrounded in Lexan tubing. I unscrewed the cap, and It is 1/8" Thick Lexan, and there is no way she broke it that easily. I think sometime more happened.

Well that's good to hear. Plasmaglow assured me that it was NOT some cheap flimsy platic tube. They actually told me that the lexan that's around the LED's is THICKER than lexan that's around neon.

In my experience with other under car kits out there. This kit is BY FAR the most durable I have seen.

imo this one is cheaply made. they dont even include extensions for the cables. i hope it dont flood cuz my plug box couldnt make it into the engine compartment. maybe the kit was made for miatas or something. the holes i have are not sealable by just silicone. i'll have to take a big piece of duck tape to hold the plastic parts together. they are more than holes. you can slide the center piece of plastic back and forth. so 'durable' lexan my ass. at least covering those leds wont matter

Everyone else is still waiting for their kits to arrive. Hopefully we should be getting them soon and more pics/movies will be posted.

From what PG tells me they are made of the same high impact lexan that their Platinum kits use. I wouldn't worry about the durability.

Aphro: It might be possible that you got a defect... You might wanna call PG and tell them it broke. Their # is: 877 878 4569

I would say the lexan is like SG blueline Lexan. Its not britle. Its tuff. And there is LEDS also. They are even Stronger. Its a pretty good kit for strenght. But I do also agree that it is cheaply done. And i am hopeing to GOD that Sg comes out with a good one! LoL U will see when u get the kits. There not bad. i would say defently not a rip off. Just if i had seen it before i order it I would not have ever have gotten it.

You don't make any sense. What specifically do you think is cheaply done? I had a SG Gold Series, and I consider these tubes MUCH more durable.

yeah with the sg you have to worry about the inner gas filled tube breaking.. that would make it seem like pg is more durable but hey i have a total of 6" gap of no 'lexan' on one tube. ah well i taped the hole up and mounted it in a small gap under my front fender. without the breakage i couldnt have mounted it there! the thin strip of leds made it possible to slip that section between my tow hook and skidplate so i could fit the tube without it being visible. safe spot. BRIGHT glow.
