ok i wanted to know if you could help me make a diagram for how i can wire LEDs in my car. i want to put a total of 4 LEDs on one switch--2 LEDs in the front (one on passenger side and one on driver) and 2 in the back in the similar manner. i want to know how this would be done. i may end up having 2 separate switches with a total of 8 LEDs (4 blue and 4 red). if you can help me make a diagram to assist me in wiring i would appreciate it . thank you.

yeah i did but in the diagram each of the LEDs are connected to each other. i wanted to extend each one so that they aren't connected to one another and i heard that if i do that i may need to put on the resistors. that's why i am asking for a diagram if possible.

I'll get your diagram up in a little while. I'm at work and going to a meeting so it will be a few hours.

Here, this should help you a little.

Here's an LED wiring diagram showing 4 seperate LED's (NOT connected). Notice the load resistor that IS needed for each LED. For LED/load resistor information check out THIS SITE. Also notice that the Anode on the LED is connected to positive. The Anode is the LONGER lead. NOTE: If using a light up switch connect the 3rd connection on the switch to ground.
Since LED's use very little current a 1/2 amp fuse is more than adequate.
