Sweet dude. How'd you do it? I'd like to do that to my corners.

Take the headlight assembly off... Use a hairdryer or heat gun and a slotted screwdriver to pry off the clear plastic from the headlight assembly.
Once you get it open, take out the orange reflectors. |

yeah i want to do that...but isn't it illegal?
7thgencivic.com has instructions for 01-03 civics in the DIY section, its probably pretty similar for other cars on another note, i got some blue reverse lights yesterday for like $3...its kinda a weird color blue but they're cool. |

Illegal hmm I dunno...
I am thinking of finding some blue reflective material and putting it in the place of the amber stuff. If that doesn't look good then I will get either a blue turn signal bulb or a blue LED turn signal bulb (LED's are good cuz they are clear when off) The glue is so annoying to take off especially on such a big headlight. |

i think its illegal. when i got pulled over for my blue washer LEDs the cop was rattling off a bunch of other illegal things...clear sidemarkers, clear corners, LED licence plate bolts, etc.
on another note, I got my $111 ticket for the blue washer LEDs cleared up for a total of...$10!!! I got my ticket signed off that I fixed it, even though the cop checked the "not correctable" box, then I took it to the court and I thought i was going to have to plead my case, but when I checked in the guy said I just owed a $10 fee. to solve my little problem of blue washer LEDs being illegal, I got a set of color changing APC washer LEDs. These are pretty cool, except I liked the black housing of my old SG ones better than the chrome housing on these, oh well. I'm going to attempt to hook them up to my PG Fusion kit so they change colors in sync with my underbody kit! see my other thread |
