If its your GF i would hope you wouldnt need to ask her to the dance it should be implied. Just ask if she wants dinner before you go to the dance.

Okay, When I was in High school, if you were Boyfriend Girlfriend, Together, a Couple, or w/e it was assumed you were going together. Is this like a friend who is a girl? like your friends who are male? Or a girlfriend?

I think you are over stressing this situation, trust me there is life after high school.. this winter ball will not matter in a few years or even months. biglaugh.gif

Agreed. It should be understood you're going to the winter ball together. Like someone asked, are you officially a couple? If you are, just ask her where she wants to go to dinner beforehand or whatever. Or, if she even wants to go to the ball at all. Plan a romantic dinner for just you two. Don't invite other couples along, unless you're not comfortable with each other then it's ok.

Ohhhh...ok. I gotcha now! You want to find a special way to ask her. That's sweet! Well, you could take her out to eat, and maybe slip something in her dessert, or get the servers to ask for you. Or, perhaps, if you have pictures from last year's ball, make a little display in her room with pictures, a sign, balloons, some flowers, etc. If I think of something else, I'll let you know. The biggest thing for her probably is wanting to feel like she's special. Not that it's just like ok, he's my boyfriend, we're going to the dance. She wants to feel like "Cinderella". Shoot, buy her a fake crown and some flowers, and ask her to be your princess for the night or something. It may sound corny, but I bet she'd like it.

I played the loser card for a while. Go to dances and sit around until some hot girl decides to come over and bug you to come dance.

I call it playing hard to get. lol

After that got old, I realized it was stupid to not ask someone to dance when you wanted to. So just go do it. If she says no (I'm not really talking about a specific instance anymore...), then go ask someone else.
