Ok everyone knows the kit that you install with your headunit has that opening for like 2 cd's or whatever i want to cover up that hole and make it into a place for switches. does anyone know what i could use to cover it up so that i can put like bondo on it or resin to make it look kool?

if you dont know what opening i am talkin about let me know and i will try and find a pic

peace

You need to make a frame for the fiberglass/resin/bondo to sit on. You can try just wrapping some thin fabric, like an old tshirt over it, or you can use balsa wood to give it some curves.

Then you can paint over it with 4 layers or resin, sand it down, drill switch holes, and paint it.

^^ Well how many switches?? Everyone has them up and down, but if the switches are too big(which they might be) then side to side.

up and down if possible, definitly not angled, that would look retarded in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat

I prefer the old traditional up and down switch orientation myself, but up to you really.

Post some pics when finished if possible... good thinking on getting rid of that cubby-hole there icon_cool.gif .

Up down is easiet, use the side of your hand and hit them all at once.

How many switches for how many lights? LOL when I made my first switchbox it had 19 switches lol... Now I just have it down to 6... biglaugh.gif
