For all you audio enthusiasts-

Ok, I'm feelin lazy and its real tricky running another power cable through the firewall on my truck. Think I can get away with running two amps pushing about 100watts each off the one 10gauge power wire (30A fuse) Right now I'm running a single amp pushing about...120W across two subs. I have a nice MTX from my old car which will do about 120W as well. I wanna assign one to each sub I have (RMS 100W) and give em a lil extra kick.

you gotta be careful running two subs off different amps, especially if they're in a single chamber box. i suggest asking some pros on termpro.com or caraudioforum.com

Ok, 10 gauge wire for more than one amp is a no no. You're asking to get less power than your amps are capable of. if i were you i would go ahead and put the time in and install 4 gauge power and ground that way if you wanna expand in the future, you've got the juice!

just gonna agree w/ everyone... you should not do it. 10 awg isn't mean for running 2 amps at all. You can get away w/ 8 awg probably though. If they are both only 100 watts.

Yes, you could probably get away with 8 gauge power, but like i said before if you wanna make expansion in the future easier just put in the time now and put in a 4 gauge power cable.
