i was trying to find a way to kill my head lights to. the only thing i found was turn the lights off and put on the emergency break. but i was also thinking of hooking up a switch to the positive wire on the lights in the head lighst and just flick it off when i wnat them off. i dont know for sure if it would work.

automatic headlights do suck...i thought about that to, but im thinkin if you do that, then you might get a SES light...they do have a drl kit to kill your daytime running lampos and headlights, but its like $60

it wouldn't be hard to wire a kill switch on your headlights wire...all you have to do is find the right wire and get a big enough switch (or a relay and a switch)

i wish it was that easy for me, but my problem is, that my headlights are automatic and cannot be shut off and if u cut into the ciruit and turn em off yourself then you get service lights up the ****

I don't know how big the current draw is on you guys lights I'm guessing they are probally like 55 watts divided by car idle voltage of say 13.8 so I'd say a relay might work but you guys tell me, like run your lights through 30 and 87a and depending on what kindof of switch your looking to use (negative switched or positive) you'll hook up 85 and 86 according, to the guy or guys that said you'd get a error code on your BCM, do you know how it's reading it? is there a voltage sensor at the light you can bypass somehow? when you reset the BCM does it go away if you've reset the switch? does the error go away when you reset the switch without reseting the BCM? If that's the case that shouldn't be a problem, I had an old camaro that when it got to 110 or so we had installed a switch to cut the speed sensor but the check engine light came on, as soon as I hit the switch to reconnect the sensor it would go out or a second or two after.

that looks realy good!!!! i love the head liner idea with the leds. i just hate it since i cannt put any neons inside my truck since most of the big bulbs will be visable. that should realy hid ethe bulbs with just using those small LEDs. you got any pictures of them during the day to see what it looks like not lite up?

I think the easiest way to kill auto headlights is to just turn off the car, and barely pull the e-brake (or push the e-brake pedal in some cases) until it clicks just once. More than likely it won't engage the e-brake at all, and it still kills the headlights. I used to do it when i drove a chevy venture (gag me, i love my mustang now!!!) If that doesn't work, try stomping on the bulb itself a few times???

if its only clicked down one notch it realy doesnt kick in the ebrake at all. personaly i only do it sometimes since i rather like my driving lights at dusk and town driving that way the cops think your h/l are ON but realy its only the slight lights and your neons are still bright and realy visable. but when it gets so late or you dont have enough street lights you gotta turn on your real head lights.LOL
