I wired this up so it goes on when I unlock my doors. I only had time to wire up one cold cath before it got dark. I plan on putting one under the other three doors.

I'm confused. Where exactly is it under the door? I can't tell from your picture.

Sorry, I'm far from a photo-ace. Assume a Ford Explorer w/o running boards. I mounted them directly under the truck where the running boards would go. Lights up a 4ft diameter or so circle both under/away from the vehicle. I'll take more pics when I get them all done. I still have to order another set.

You could actually make and UB kit with those cathodes... I don't think it'd be quite as bright as a SG kit though.

Yeah, but I could never drive with an underbody, not around here at least, so having it go on when I unlock the doors is cool enough for me. I actually sat there like a fool for about 5 minutes yesterday opening and closing the doors just to watch.

I spliced the 12V+ from the cathode into the wire on my dome light circuit. My dome light turns on when it senses the doors either open, or are unlocked from my remote.

I ran the wire across my window, behind my A-pillar, and then out the door w/ the rest of my wires. I ziptied the cathodes to holes along the bottom of my Ex (I assume they were for running boards?) and whallah. I recently put two more on. Just waiting for the last set from Phil so I can finish the job and wire them in permanently. I might also run a separate power wire so I can run it off a switch to make it function as an underbody.

In total darkness, the glow from the caths is beyond compare to that pic. The light shines at least 2-3ft from the side of the vehicle and is very bold. So for the price of two cathode kits ($40), some wire ($4), I have underbody lighting.

Yeah, that's the kind of glow I had comin off my Ex with the cathodes. I wish I didn't toast the transformers though. Otherwise I would've kept them on there. Now I just stick with the ones under my seats.
