i was looking at the EuroEffects kits and was wondering what everyone thought of them?
My friend got the blaze, and thats what i was gonna get, but for some reason, it didn't look like what i was hoping it would be. i noticed these have more options and speeds. |

Fake?
I have seen them on a VW GTI it was nice. I dont know about the blowing out and the chain effect it causes. I liked what I saw. I can only speak from that one experience never installed or saw the components. |

Euroeffects use stolen photos of cars kitted with ICELED to sell their stuff.
See this page: http://www.euroeffects.net/store.php?act=1&...at=multicolorkits&item=xline Then take a look at this page: http://iceled.co.uk/area51/viewtopic.php?t=1862 If that isn't enough to put anyone off - I don't know what would be. |

I went to a custom car show today, it was nice, there were muscle cars and import tuners. I saw a stand that said Euroeffects.net allll over it. They didn't have alot of products left, probaly because today was the last day.
Any ways, I can say there UB kits are ****. The flex line, the LEDs are TINY, they're like half the size of the LEDs in the blaze kit, real skinny. They werent even that bright... I was going to buy 2 9" LED tubes for 20 bucks just to try them out, but then I looked at there little catalog thing and on the front page there was the PT cruiser with ICE, than the pic with the ICE tube lit up. So i kinda put the tubes down and walked away... |

Ya, those LEDs were so small, I'd rather spend 20 bucks on Phils LEDs and make some brighter tubes.
And with all my cathodes, you probaly wouldn't even be able to see the glow those things were making. |

I have a scanner, I just need to hook it up.
And I'm looking through thiis mag, and reading thier disctription about there headlights, they say there they're the only bulbs on the market with DOT approval. (blue tinted bulbs) I'm just wondering if this is true because the blue tint on the is realy blue. I kinda think they're not DOT approved because you can buy them in Red, Green, Orange, Purple, and I think yellow... |

this is what i gathered on the dot approved thing
"DOT Approved" is a false statement. DOT does not certify or approve the compliance of motor vehicles or items of motor vehicle equipment. What does "DOT Approved // Street-Legal" mean on bulb packages? Automotive products sold in the U.S. "should" meet the Department of Transportation's approval to be street-legal in all 50 states. What this means is that if an item is not DOT approved, it MAY be legal for street use (as opposed to show use) in one state and not in another. i worded how i was trying to say it wrong i guess |

Agreed. Have any of you actually seen one of this kits installed and working. I understand they do not use their own image on the site. That is very bad. But just black labeling the product based on that fact seems foolish to me. I would like to see some install pictures. Ryan88 did you see a display or a car with the ub installed? I know my varad kits LEDs appear smaller than my BlaZe and they are still just as bright. I dont car about websites I care about the product I get. |

Good grief, I guess I might be predujiced about this - but I'm sure if I saw someone offering something for sale that I wanted, and found out that all the photos were actually those of a competing product - I'd have very little confidence in the thing I purchased - even if it did seem OK 'in the flesh'... You know, for instance, it's so easy to make a kit look very bright by shoving three times the absolute maximum rating for current in the LEDs (brightness is very nearly linearly proportional to current, but lifespan is reduced by the square!) Sometimes you do yourself no favours buying into grey-market stuff |

Well I recently called Varad. I called the Tech Support number from their website. The customer service person told me that she did not have a manual to send me, but she could fax it. I asked, does your website have a .PDF or Printout of the directions. She said "I don't know". She said that the company hired a company that made and maintained the website and she just answers the phone no relation to the website and no one in the offices would have connection to that site other than viewing it like you or me.
This company may have the same thing. Lack of connection between the company and the website. Personally its getting OLD. Every LED kit being held up to the light and people just bashing it if its not ICELED. I agree ICELED is excellent. But there are other kits out there and I dont call them grey-market. I have seen this kit and I was impressed by it. |

Please don't misunderstand me Moss, when I mentioned the grey-market it was in the sense that for every respectable OEM like Varad, there are certain resellers that deliberately set up stall to trick thier customers. We've seen this happen all over the internet and I honestly do care about people not getting fleeced. It's not about bashing other LED products - it's about being wary of rogue traders.
Your point about them not necessarily running the website is a good one, but in this case we know they are not the OEM. The very same products have been offered to us by the actual Chinese firm that makes them, Which makes Euroeffects a reseller. Both parties have been informed about the misapropriation of ICELED photos and neither have responded (except to try and sell us to more stuff If Varad put up ICELED photos - how fast do you think they would take them down when it was pointed out to them? |

HEY! It just ocurred to me, if anyone has anything to say to Euroeffects about this you can do so here - someone from there is likely to read this sooner or later (after all, we know they trawl the lighting forums for images
My own message to Euroeffects is that most people in the extremely niche market of digital automotive lighting make much use of the internet for research and purchasing. As the first company to develop digital lighting for automotive applications ICELED has a reputation for being the market leader - thus we see a very large proportion of your potential customers as visitors to our sites. These visitors can see for themselves exactly how it is you go about your business. To cut and paste descriptions and photos of ICELED UFO from our website onto your own is a laughable "own goal". After all, who could be blamed for assuming that the products you offer were not able to produce the effects depicted by ICELED. |

I don't mean to bore anyone. I am bound to draw attention to companies that I know are misleading their customers - especially when they use photos that I have taken myself to do so
That's why I bring up these issues here. They are relevant to people looking at other products - such as the ones sold by Euroeffects. Moss -You're giving me quite a hard time over this... I've certainly never recieved any signals like this before from anyone here. When you use expressions like "bash other companies" it tells me that you percieve me as going out of my way to knock anything other than ICELED. I always try to be as posistive as I can, but I'll always call a spade 'a spade'. |

Spend less time whining on the board and more time contacting Euroeffects to change their images.
I will keep giving you a hard time. Granted they used your image. You can fix that or try to fix that. I assume you have seen that kit. I have seen the Euroeffects kit, and was impressed. I see no one in this post who has witnessed the kit, everyone bashes it based on the website. Just like everyone bashes SG for the board. It gets old. I know I am not the only person who thinks that ICELED is the holy grail. |

I enjoyed reading all of the comments on this page. The picture theft is one topic I would actually like to talk about. We have just released our newest kit X-Line. All of you familiar with the ICE-LED UFO kits will quickly recognize the same features. The reason we used the pics is because we have pretty close to what is the same system. We did not have any kits in stock for our own pictures at the time because x-line was in development. If you go to the site now euroeffects.net you will see my Navigator with the kit installed.
Now as the product goes, I dont mean to sound **** at all, but I have seen everything on the market. I specifically designed all of my products to hands down out perform anything out there. My 7 color kits, blow away the optx, plasmaglow, liteglow etc.. I have tested all of these brands and know exactly what they are capable of. My kits have more features and also larger tubes. And unlike alot of companies I give you a free wireless upgrade I dont make you pay an extra 100 bucks for it. I also have a 15 color kit out, which no other company has. This is the same as the 7 color kit, its just got 15 colors instead. Now for the X-Line kit, just visit euroeffects.net and check the video's out! I have a lot of great products in stock and coming out soon! I have a big advantage in this industry and that is I know what kids want! I am only 22 years old, yes thats right I am only 22 years old and I own Euroeffects, Inc. by my self with no help of parents or investors. This is my life and I can easily say I am the hardest working person in this industry. I hope I have cleared up some of the bad rumors on this site and If you have any further questions about anything, my personal email address is Euroeffectsco@aol.com and I would be more than happy to answere any further questions. Best Regards, Brock |

My buddy got two six inch LED bars from EuroEffects in his Grandprix, they're pretty bright. He got them at a Car show in Pittsburgh. They were 15 dollars. Why are all the products on your page so expensive anymore? Like 40 Bucks for two six inch single color LED tubes. That's outrageous.

Hey Brock,
Why did you ENJOY reading all the comments on this page? I know if I read something that dissed my company and product, I would not ENJOY it. I would be **** and I would do everything I could do remedy the situation. The little flash video clips of your X-Line kit on your Navigator looks sweet, and I commend you on that. No one has seen everything on the market. You might have seen 3 or 4 kits, but how can you have seen things if you don't even know about them? It is a big world, and there are things going on, one can't even dream of. 2 years ago I thought I had seen lots of underbody kits on the market, but then I saw Iceled. Turns out Iceled had been "on the market" for about 3 months already. Blowing away optx, plasmaglow, liteglow, etc is pretty easy if you're willing to pay more since they are built exremtely cheap with low quality components in China. But this is really besides the point. Your reasoning for STEALING pictures and PLAGARIZING text is... messed up. If you can't take pictures and videos of your kit because it is still in production, then you have to wait until it is done. Do everything you can to get at least one sample so you can take pictures. I assume your X-Line kits are now "in-stock". Please explain why you still have STOLEN photos and DIRECT COPIES OF TEXT on your site.
If I may... I would like to offer some suggestions: - Do not steal photos, videos, text. It is illegal. - People want lots of high quality photos of the product in action, photos of the packaging, etc. They don't want cheesy little photos and hyped up descriptions. - People don't care if you have a lot of great products "coming-out". They want to see what is coming out. So, try to show them. Convince them you are for real and not just talking. From the quality of your past "talking" —- stolen photos and text... You have a lot of convincing to do. - No one cares about your advantage, your age, or your hard working life. Maybe your Mom does, but what will make your customers happy is: good service, and good products. Brock, currently you have not cleared up one bit of "rumor" on this site. You are still using stolen photos and text and your reasoning for it does not make sense.
Honestly, I feel fine, and I am glad Brock has come to post here. It will only benefit me. And maybe it will help some other people too. |

Some of the stuff you say is just crazy:
CUSTOM 25 degree angle! Custom custom custom! No... Actually some competitors (but of course you have already seen everything) use 90 ot 100 degree LEDs. Now those are sooper dooper custom
I've yet to see an LED module that uses 3mm LEDs. Standard LED kits are not made with 3mm LEDs. They are made with 5mm LEDs. Euro Effects is not the only brand with 5mm LED modules (but of course you have already seen everything).
Yea, well my acrylic tubing is a zillion times quadruple doople thick as leading competitors. Leading? That is a contradiction. YOU have the most durable tubes in the industry? Acrylic is NOT durable. It shatters easily. Have you heard of POLYCARBONATE? I'm looking at the installation manual for the X-Line kit and it does not look like a 3 wire hookup that is claimed in your STOLEN TEXT. It looks like the same 8 wire hookup used on 7 colors kits, and then adapted to give "more bank for the buck" in a new style of kits. I could be wrong, so please correct me if it does have a 3 wire hookup. |
