batteries arent my speciality, but from what i under stand they were a few benifits,
first off,
it is a deep cycle battery, ( meaning it can go to almost dead then be charged back up and still retain normal preformance, )
normal batteries have normal cylce that once they are substainly draind when you charge them back up they cant quite reach the same preformace as before., its just a difrence of how it is made,

second,
the optuim, has sprial cell tech,, though there is a liquid in there, its supposely a gel, that wont leak, when tillted, verse normal plate style
wich have a water type fluid in there that can leak, ,

also if you take the time to really look at it a normal battery has soemtimes maybe a 1/4 inch inbetween the plates, thats a lot of resitnece,
the optuim, has 2 pure lead foils with gel glass mat in the middel that is rolled super tight so there is hardley any resiitence, makeign it much better intererly,

heres the copy from the site,
It'll last up to 2 times longer than other batteries.
It can sit unused 3 times longer than other batteries.
It is over 15 times more resistant to vibration than other batteries.
It's nonspillable and can mount in almost any position.
It provides constant performance quality keeping your battery running at the same level even as it's being discharged.
It provides more power in the inital 1, 3, 5, and 10 seconds of the vehicle starting process than comparably rated conventional lead acid batteries.
