$40 for the fabric. $10 for the glue.

I will trim the sides down, run wires for cathodes and perhaps LEDs. Then I will have it back in the car within a few days.

That 'liner is going to be sweet once it's done! I wouldn't be able to stick one in my car simply because I'd have to constantly brush it in the same direction to keep it looking smooth icon_rolleyes.gif How does that adhesive perform? I'm going to be making a carbon fiber 'liner for my Box in the next three weeks, and I'll be needing something with a good grip/stick factor icon_twisted.gif

Hurry up and finish it and stop the suspense from building! puppy_dog_eyes.gif

Don't mind the socks and sandals. The glue works pretty well. I did my doors with the same stuff.

I will be ok with the "suede" look. It looks good like that biglaugh.gif

*sigh*

I still don't have a headliner. I really need a garage to get this done quicker. Maybe next weekend I'll get motivated. I wish there was a way to get my foam thing out. Sadly I had to tear it out because I don't have a hatchback door. I'm going with regular carpet padding. It'll be interesting. The guy at autozone said he would help me. He showed me his and he did the same thing. Maybe I should just staple 4 corners of it and keep the gangsta look.

Other than that. Nice headliner!

I got the stuff at a local fabric store "Jo-Ann". That was an experiece. A bunch of old ladies and crafts overload.

The other sub is out because I blew apart the rubber surround from the cone. I have to try epoxy on it.

how will they know what they are if they arent on? if you get pulled over and they ask what it is just tell em its a little heater because you get cold alot.. thats what i do except mine is actually a little plug in heater and i never get pulled over so i dont have to worry about it..

yeah we have jo-ann fabrics here too, wierd.. ill have to check that out, walking through a craft store always gives you lots of ideas for your car

Jail time if I am not even using them? They will not be used on public roads. Only car shows, my driveway, and friends driveways. I am not going to lie about it an say it is a heater because it is obviously not a heater. I will tell them they are strobes for show use. If they ask me to turn them on, I will refuse.

just tell them its infrared emitters for your night vision driving assistant. Basically it helps you see past your headlights even farther away so you don't hit any kids, dogs, deer, animals in general, or a cop car without lights on. and if you don't have a video screen tell him its in the middle of being installed, you ran out of time to finish the project and he is slowing you down.

I like being in my driveway and turning on the strobes when the cop is just down the road running radar. icon_lol.gif
