so how much HP does it take to smoke your tires on a front wheel drive car like a grand prix. i would love to be able to do that some time with this car because you would never think a 95 grand prix could do that

VERY HARD ON IT. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT do that. Bad idea. And in response to the HP question...it varies for every car.

^^what he said,,,,pull your E-Brake up all the way, put some Antifreeze on the ground, and lots and lots of white smoke will pour from your wheel wells...

we were able to smoke the tires really bad on my friends Integra 4 door. We pinned it on the rev limiter, and then dropped the car right to first (its automatic) the car spun the tires, and was bouncing off the rev limited, we then slammed it into 2nd, and it continued spinning, bounced it off the limiter, slammed it into 3rd, and it spun , and finally caught, we did this about 7 times, and it still runs fine...... we also were doing about 60, and slammed the car into first, bounced off the revlimited several times it was hillarious...... we also were doing about 20 in first, we dropped it into neutral, bounced it off the limiter, and slammed it into first,,,,,never thought an integra could smoke the tires like that from a roll.....

why did we do it? it wasnt his car, it was his dad's....

oh, and its still running no problems

I don't have any idea what it is any more, and i give up on the idea it is not worth spending money on this car any more because i would never get that much out of it. may be i can talk my dad into chiping his truck to do it with that, anyone want to see a dully do a burn out biglaugh.gif biglaugh.gif , i don't think he would go for that to much but now would be the time to do it because he need new tires in back

just spray the tire with a bit of bleach, that stuff, goes way white, and huge clouds,
just buy, some fantastic with bleach, in a spray bottel, and juice the tires
it should spinn, good, and make mad smoke,

its horrible for your tires and your transmission...but hey, who cares?!

bleach is probably the best. apply the ebrake. neutral drop/tranny drop

I used to neutral drop all the time in my OLD car (a 91 ford taurus station wagon)...I probably did it about 40 times until one time when i was doing it and my engine mount broke (this was a week after i side swiped a retaining wall...so that may have had something to do with it too). the torque from the engine actually moved the engine so that my throttle cable was pulled tight, which stuck at full throttle...that was fun icon_rolleyes.gif

anyway i ended up going about 65 in a 35 zone (Phil: this was over by Acalanes Rd) before i relized i couldn't get it unstuck, so i slammed on the brakes and popped it in neutral and pulled over. Then my friend and I spent like half an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. We couldn't figure it out but we got the cable partially unstuck...so I drove to my friend's house (about 10 minutes away) without stopping at all, just slowing down through stop signs and such (luckily there were no stoplights)...it was an adventure...
