My Town has something to that effect. It's more about the loud exhaust factor. I rarely hear of people being hassled for it. But I know certain shops turn a blind eye to visual inspections and what not of exhaust. icon_cool.gif

Granted it would suck, but still people would run exhaust mods. icon_cool.gif

they were right when they said ricers caused it. i never heard of any probs with people having aftermarket exhaust until F+F came out and everyone ran out to buy fartcans icon_rolleyes.gif

That is what started the whole exhaust thing in my city. They sit in busy neighborhoods @ night and just pull people over for loud exhaust. Alot of bikes get pulled over. icon_cool.gif

in SC, there are more stupid loud cruiser bikes than there are loud cars/trucks. SC doesnt have any restrictions on exhaust or emissions or any of that

Ct just restarted its emissions program and surprisingly i passed icon_biggrin.gif they didnt say anything about my aftermarket muffler but im hoping they start cracking down on all the fartcan hondas with no cats and no emission controls on the motors. the fartcan scene around here especally on the berlin turnpike is getting out of hand.

i own a honda.. and i just recently put on a cat back system... except i hate the fart-can sound aswell... aslong as the people do it right its not loud at all... magnaflow muffler... along with a resonator... and keeping the stock cat.....most ricers like to ditch the resonator along with the cat... and that just makes the exhaust sound like ass and raspy.... ah well maybe someday they'll realise how bad it sounds....and shoot them selves in the foot for it!

i wish everyone around here understood that. they put a straight pipe from the header back to a fartcan with no cat and no resonator. its insanely loud and sounds like a bees nest. icon_rolleyes.gif but a nice catback with a good muffler can sound pretty good.

Plenty of loud ass Mustangs in my area...just as loud if not louder (and sweeter sounding) than ricers...

Probaly because SC is the best state. I love SC, everyones laid back. Down there, if you blow up your finger with fireworks, it's your fault. In PA, is someone blows there finger off with a firework, they have to become illegal.

Any ways, Thats stupid as hell.

H.B. 1330 perpetuates the erroneous assumption that enthusiasts who equip their vehicles with modified exhaust systems are involved in illegal street racing.

Thats funny.

Thy might as well only ban mufflers that have a 7" outlet/chrome tip.

Yeah, I live in SC, the loud things around here are the big, jacked up trucks with straight pipes. Sometimes you can't even hear the loud exhaust because of the giant mudtires....I'm not complaining though, b/c hopefully soon I'll be getting a new exhaust icon_biggrin.gif
