i jsut found that lighting inside or outside the car in MN is illegal because it distracts otehr drivers, to me this is so stupid.... i dont know if i should get an underbody kit now, what would be the point if i will get a ticket for havign them on? this must be one of the stupidest laws ive ever heard.......

Same here with PA. Deal with it, I have neons in and out. If you get a ticket, It's your fault. Just use them when your in parking lots.
Depending in your area, some cops aren't that strict. I passed quite a few cops up with snake eyes and LEDs in my headlight housings and I didnt get pulled over, Yet again, It wasnt 100% dark out.
One time I was at a stop sign waiting for the traffic to clear so I could pull out. The last car was a police car, I had my UB kit on and he looked right at me... I almost **** my pants... icon_surprised.gif

I think its a very good law, just sucks for us glowers.

My ICELED UFO is certainly distracting, enough to cause an accident if other drivers start to stare.

The problem is our laws, they suck. They blame the person doing the distracting, not the distracted driver. Basically anyone that distracts a driver could get a similar ticket. Therefore you could argue the building with the neon sign is distracting, and they deserve a ticket. Stating that just glow under a car is distracting is prejudice, and if you had enough money and a great lawyer you could probably get the state to change the law.

If you don't have any toobage, and drivers get distracted by a little light. They should'nt be driving.

^ i agree... also... Anyone with "day time running lights" should get tickets! Those were DESIGNED to distract people and "make them pay attention"?
