I own a Ford F150 and am wanting to make up some LED tubes one for each side under the dash and one to go behind the seat. all in Yellow to match the truck
How many LED's should i put in each tube? How many can i put in a series with out a resitor? What LED should i use? What size of LED should i use? Where can i get a wiring diagram to make them? Where is the best place to buy LED's and resistors? Where can you buy the tubes? I am somewhat electronic literate but it has been some time ago. Thanks Boss54 One more thing how do i post a picture everytime i post a message? |

Thanks for the quick reply.
I see that Phil does not carry yellow LED's (the color i want) I have found diagrams for up to 4 with out a resistor what about a diagram 15 or 20. Can you run them in paralell? Last edited by BOSS54 on Thu Jun 12, 2003 8:21 pm, edited 1 time in total |

I know, my bad. When I said lightning I actually meant F-150. Sorry. I am a huge auto buff. Especially when it comes to FORD's. Typed faster than I was thinking! |

I would say, go to local hardware store to get somewhat of a good tube, i dunno what they sell around you, then make like a 50" length, or soemthing custom length and heat the tube into a wave effect, that would look great! and add TONES of leds, one by each other.......it will cost lots right now but with phil gets his new LEDS u will be in business

Sweet truck man... I like the matching jet ski or whatever it is too
I can get yellow LEDs but they are not really yellow... more of a puke amber color so I don't like to sell them to anyone... I think you'd end up buying yellow LEDs from 20 different places before you found a true yellow... Where do you want to have the yellow glow? Cathodes might be a better answer. Welcome to the forum too Phil |
