Well, it still might be a few weeks early, but i just wanted to congradulate the graduates.... if anyone is graduating i'd like to know future plans (college and what major, jobs, or military) My brother is graduating and he's going work offshore until he gets tired of it i guess. Also, this could be a thread for college people to post grades also. I ended up making:

Swimming - A
Speach - B (should have made an A so i'm going to talk to him?!)
Sociology - A
Louisiana History - B (only b/c i turned my termpaper in three days late... damn that)

I picked up a lot of extra hours at work and my school has suffered...Im cutting back to two classes per quarter and may not get my 4 year degree if I get hired on to a police department this summer or sometime next year...

My GPA for this quarter dropped to 2.7 icon_eek.gif , Cummulative for college is still 3.2 though icon_cool.gif

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATES icon_cool.gif

you still got me beat hommie... i had a 1.31 ***. after my first year(two sem) only b/c i met my g/f and we spent every moment together and skipped class everyday... its hard picking it back up... and this is the end of my fourth year at college and i have a ***. of a 2.43 which sucks, but its only getting better. icon_wink.gif

edit: and to think.. i graduated high school 10th in my class

out of 26 people icon_razz.gif very very small school... but i still had a 3.0 and was the only person to graduate with honors.

Sounds like me, only not because of a gf. It was because I absolutely hated school.

My freshman and sophomore year I was at a huge catholic high school, and had no fun. I think I had like a 1.9 gpa. Then junior and senior year I was at a fun small public charter school, and my last year I had a 3.75 gpa. Full class load all year, except that at least three of seven classes were TAs. Man that was easy.

I graduated with a full ride to the University of Washigtong and 4 other colleges in the area with a 3.8GPA and was like 14 in a class of 375 icon_cool.gif ....

Then work and growing up took over and now I'm really getting sick and strung out of school.....They said Highschool was hard, I say college is worse because your ready to get on with your life and join the work force, not sit in a classroom with 300 other people listening to some guy talk about stuff you don't care about and will never use in your life icon_neutral.gif

hmmm, around here soo many people go into business and they don't understand that you have to move to a bigger city to get a job... so they graduate and then just keep the job that they have. icon_confused.gif

I graduated from college 11 years ago. My first semester, I had a 1.86 GPA. I picked it up over the next 3 years, but it still wasn't that high. Everyone with a low or mediocre GPA, keep in mind, that it only matters for your first job (and even then, not so much). My resume now has no mention of my GPA. I have 11 years of experience, so that's all that matters. One of my coworkers used to pick on me because he had a 3.96 GPA, but then I would remind him that we have the exact same job, doing the same thing, and getting paid the same. So, NOW who's the big dummy... biglaugh.gif

I have my last exam tomorrow and graduate on Saturday. Last time I checked I was number 67 out of 296 for class rank.

I'll be going to the University of Florida for college and hopefully I can make good grades. I need to keep a certain GPA to keep a scholarship, a very important scholarship.
