i know this doesn't have anything to do with glow, but anyway... i got all 4 of them out this morning. they hurt like a ***** for the first 6 hours or so, but know i'm so drugged up on vicadin (sp?) that they don't really bother me that much, lol! but this vicadin isn't nearly as good as the nitrous oxide they gave me before the operation.ahhh, i love drugs. well legal ones anyway, lol....

they told me i "might" have to get them pulled. and it would be best to go ahead and do them and not worry about them later... but there's an "81% chance that they will be okay" icon_lol.gif ...he must need that yacht payment bad icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

so no, i didn't get it done... why fix it if there's nothing wrong with it... yet icon_biggrin.gif

I have three of mine totally in and my 4th one is coming in. I hate it. On my right side of my mouth both of those are in and I am always biting the side of my mouth. OMG it hurts. But def. not as much as getting them out. Hope you feel better.

its really that bad getting em out except for the first day they are out. i was knocked out completely they gave me an i.v. and i was asleep in like 30 seconds its like being drunk its a great feeling when you wake up even though you are bleeding in your mouth. you kinda have to be careful with the holes that are left though stuff gets in the bottom ones and if you eat chips and stuff they will got lodged in there and you'll get a dry socket its best too just eat soup. they arent **** playin when they say dont strain either just take it easy for that first week you'll get dry sockets and i hear those are a pain in the ass.

yeah i had the I.V. too and i can only remember bits and pieces of what happened right after surgery. i don't even remember the ride home or even how i got in the car, but anyway they're starting to feel better. or maybe that's the vicodin talking, who knows...

ditto. i got mine out a couple months ago. i remember nitrous (i giggled icon_smile.gif ) and them putting the IV in my arm, but they said they weren't going to start it until the doctor came back in...but i never remember the doctor coming in icon_smile.gif

when i woke up i was sooooooo out of it. i don't remember going from the operating chair to the waiting room, but i do remember my mom nearly passing out when they tried to show her how to change the guaze in my mouth, lol.

then they put my on a wheel chair to wheel me out to the car, and i remember passing by 2 kids...i bet they though i was retarded cause i had my head tilted to the side and was just blankly staring off into space, LOL. i only remember bits and pieces of the 20 minute ride home.

i never really felt a ton of pain. by about a day or two later i felt completely fine except when i bit down on the holes.

my sister, on the other hand, got hers out a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. she was in tons of pain and she reacted badly to the vicodin, and developed tollerance for it so it didn't even help the pain. she acctually missed a couple days of school, then a few days later she got sick. so yeah, i guess i was lucky.
