As I was replying to someone's post about everyone once being a newbie, I had an idea. I was just curious, especially for all you PW's out there - How much have you come along since joinging Ozzy? Have you learned a lot, shared a lot of info, etc? I just thought it'd be fun if everyone, especially those that have been here for a long time, post their very first message that they ever posted on Ozzy (provided it hasn't been deleted). I think it'd be kinda fun to just see what people posted about, and what they thought, and such like that.
So go ahead, copy your first post that you've ever made in Ozzy onto here. |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone have anything left their giving away? I'd be willing to take something off of your hands. I'm just beginning to mod my car and I think it's gonna be a lot of fun! (*Boy, I must have been greedy when I first started posting! Haha*) |

We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us ***** about you leaving it down. 1. Sometimes we are not thinking about you. Live with it. 1. Saturday = Sports 1. Crying is blackmail. 1. Ask for what you want. Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it! 1. We don't remember dates. Mark them on a calendar and remind us frequently. 1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question. 1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for. 1. Check your oil! Please. 1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days. 1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us. We refuse to answer that question anymore. 1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one. 1. Let us look. It doesn't hurt anyone, to look. And for us, it's genetic. 1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials. 1. I got all my stuff installed. let me know what you think icon_cool.gif http://www.oznium.com/gallery/index.php/StrtGlowerZm180_Ford_Taurus/gid/150 What I've learned: I have learned so much because of this forum. Before this forum I learned everything by completly **** it up and then figuring it out. But just reading peoples posts has helped me. Also some specifice people: Phil (HUGE help), DJ (for selling me stuff), but mainly everybody has been a great help and I couldn't ask for a better forum or group of people. (ok gushyness over) |

OZ taught me alot. Some really basic stuff then some pretty technical stuff.
I remember when I first joined I though Phil, TypeR, Dragonjeep & Adrian were all ******* because they talked about the ICELED UFO Kit. Back then 800 dollars seemed like a lifetime of work to me. I could never dream of buying one of those kits. I remember fighting with DJ about racism and having a thread get locked and getting ****. DJ was the first guy I remember after that it was pretty much looking @ pictures and learning stuff and getting into fights with fatmandan and thebrick... I remember getting banned for making fun of jellybeans then making fun of tim. I remember some loser making up a SN that had something to do with a midwest rock station and harassing Alien young. Then I got blamed for it. I remember when Diplomat showed up and threatened me and pork on AIM that was great. But way back in the day I remember when domestic disturbance posted everyday. The community of OZ was really small when I joined. It still is but I feel like I am a part of it now. It is intimidating to make your first post. It's weird. I remember when those two new names created spammed all over the board one night and we all woke up and were really confused. I remember when DJ chopped Gophs prom dates head onto other bodies. I remember when Alien used to try and save our souls. I remember when potatoepusher and 88cutlass were routine posters and bickered with me. I remember when I first sent Phil an Instant message. I thought he was gonna be mean to me or something. He is a pretty cool dude, anytime I want to talk neons or w/e I just have to wait for him to finish his chinese food or denny's and he will respond. I remember first reading about cathodes and their wonders then when I got them I was all confused as to what they were supposed to do. There is tons of funny stuff I remember. I remember my first photos on the board were of my switch panel. 20 switches on a teeny cupholder Pork bashed it forever. It was very funny. My first post was about distribution blocks. I love them now and tell everybody to get one and use it. |

There was a huge argument and phil talked me into staying. After that i apologized and everything was cool. I joined before moss, so i remember all that moss mentioned. Oh and dj chopping bobbylee's pic with the baby smoking and a big fro... or dj chopping typer's pic and put spongebob on there and he was all colorful

That's enough for now. That guy really needs to lose his sponsorship.... or you need to be in the record books... are you? |

Haha, oh wow jol. I remembered reading that back when I first started out here too. I went back and re-red that topic. Man, you got your ass ripped!
But that's the cool part about it though. See, reading through it, you're getting your ass ripped for making a mistake (a big one, but we all do those once in a while). But after a page and a half, you apologize and say you made a mistake, and compliment DJ, and BOOM! Everything's all better after that. That's the cool part about the forum - unless your a **** 24/7, people forgive you quick. I don't think I've ever **** off anybody here, because I used to try to stay on the d/l, but if I ever did, I must'a been forgiven right away, and was able to continue my stay here. Horray for ozzy and the people of ozzy. P.S. - I'm still waiting for those 30+ members. |

Topic: Huge Order, Then Rejected
Posted: Mon Nov 29, 2004 10:41 am -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- yes I am having the same problem trying to order some cathodes as a Christmas gift to my friend... I'm kinda a newbie with this online buying stuff, and very leary of it. However Matt has told me nothing but good about this site.... I will be in touch with you very soon. Oh and that thing about it rejected it but charged you anyways....is that a possibility that that could happen to me? Sorry, I don't wanna sound like a dumba$$ noobie. _________________ Oh and yeah I remember that Moss... no hard feelings, I kinda came off a lil' ***** lol... BTW, since my first post here, I've since bought 2 ozzies, 2 sets of green 'thodes, and a music interface... I've given one ozzy, one 'thode set and the music inteface to my friend for Christmas (he loved them!) and installed my 'thodes. |

Post subject: bought a kit off ebay....missing a part....help! Reply with quote Edit/Delete this post I ordered a kit off ebay in January and I'm tired of being jerked around. he's not responding to my emails. the kit is a LED kit and has 2 50" tubes and 2 36" tubes. it has a box that responds to the music and a remote control. I'm not sure what brand it is but the leds are red. the problem: it didn't come with a hub for all the lights to connect to. the kit's set up, it works, but I need the last part to get it working. if anyone could help me I'd appreciate it. EDIT: this is almost exactly what I have: http://www.oznium.com/product_info.php/cPath/21/products_id/64 haha I got the part from Phil and now I'm selling it since I got my Blaze yesterday |
