Alrighty... what's the deal up there with underbody lights and all that good stuff? I'm taking a roadtrip up there to visit my grandparents and I'd like to know what kind of harassment I can expect from local authorities. I'll be hitting Toronto, Ontario, and London... I know for a FACT that I'm going to attract attention - 1) the car is bright orange; and more importantly, 2) they don't sell Scion's in Canada
Soooo if any of ya'll could either enlighten me or point me towards a certain location that can, I'd be most appreciative. TIA! |

not sure about Ontario but here in BC they're pretty strict about the neons, so keep them off if you're on the roads. parking lots are ok

what way are you taking up??? if your crossing from michigan to ontario.. and you go threw windsor.... your passing threw my city!!! anyways i've had NO problems at all with my blaze kit on... in any of the city's you've mentioned... and i've passed by many cops.... even got pulled over by a cop with my blaze on.... i was speeding... but he mentioned nothing about my blaze kit... or my underdash cathodes.... so your free to glow in ontario.... and no need to worry about blue in specific.... because our cops just use red and strobes....
oh and watch out on the 401.... its safe to do about 115 km/h (about 70 mph) but any faster your risking it.... the 401 is crawling with undercover cops..... |

Ontario cops are pretty good at lettings things go. Limo tint, glow, clear/tinted lenses, and even speeding. I leave my ICELED on while driving and have only been pulled over twice, no tickets, no real warnings, just curiousity.
In NY state the troopers seem to hassle you for even 5mph over. Here you won't setoff the radar traps until you're 20 kmph over, and anything under 15 kmph over is just a $50 fine and not worth it for most highway cops. In town is a different story. Many municipalities are strapped for cash and getting a $50 15 kmph over ticket is very easy if you don't know where the cops usually setup. These 'cash grabs' are becoming way too common lately. |

yea 15km/h = 52.50$ to be exact.... and 24 km/h = somewhere around 115... they usually wont bother you till 20 or over......like taylor said.........just watch out for dark colour impalas... or crown vics...... and the O.P.P (ontario provincial police) will use white crown vics..... they'll usually be set up under an overpass.... but if your going threw windsor be VERY CAUTIOUS..... we have UC cars galore that are set out just to catch speeders..... there a dark green intrepid.....a dark blue f-150....a black impala... a black crown vic....a dark blue GM truck (forget which model) and we use to have a dark blue camaro but they just sold it at the auction..... so if you do go threw windsor.. just do the speedlimit or around 5-10 over... and you'll be safe

The different cop cars here have gotten ridiculous: Sunfire Focus Suburban F150s M500 (Mercedes SUVs donated to the OPP!) Intrepids Impalas Crown Vics The UC cars are starting to be less dintinguishable. Some nolonger have limo tint, and the newest Impalas have wings and the antennas have been concealed under the spoiler. Saving 5 mins on my way home sisn't even worth it anymore. 10-20 over at maximum on the highway, 5-10 over in the city on roadways that are typical targets of 'cash grabs'. |

essh sunfire and focus..... you could blend those in pretty easily....i know our police department is getting some UC magnums.... but there not to many of them running around here right now anyways.... so you'd be able to spot them out.....but a focus or a sunfire would be pretty tough if your not paying close attention....

I refuse to be pulled over by a Sunfire or Focus.....thats just insulting
and damn you guys and your metric stuff....America may be one of the only nations that uses our way of measuring things and calculating speed, but damnit we are the most powerful so no more metric....me head hurts |
