ok so lets say that you only want to put RED leds on one switch right? now putting all those little ristors on each LED is a tedious(SP) task. so if you put a resistor on you power prong on your switch could you just wire up all the LEDs in parrell and go about your normal buisness without having to solder on all those resistors?

yes, but you have to recalculate your resistor, in other words the resistor used to power one LED can not give proper voltage and current to multiple LED's at the same time.

theres a lot of resistor calculator things on the net that i saw while i was poking around for LED info, go for it

You will have to use a bigger amperage resistor too. The ones that come with my LEDs are 1/4 watt, so you'd need a bigger power rating for more LEDs on the same resistor
