how hard is it to lower your car? i know you need to replace the springs... and maybe the struts (but i heard struts don't have to be replaced... the factory ones will just wear faster). i am looking into lowering my car a good 1.5" or so. anyone who has done it... is it worth it? check out my car in the gallery.

If you do it yourself, you need a spring compressor and some basic tools. But be wary. When the spring is compressed it holds a lot of energy and could literally fly through a concrete wall if suddenly released from its compressed state.

ok....springs are a pain in the ass......once you get it out you will spend forever cursing yourself to hell for doing it because they are a ***** to get back in....at least it was on my truck..but yes you will need a spring compressor.....

cheesy-im with you..i want bags...i hoping to get them in a year or two at most..air ride makes a nice kit for my truck where the bags just replace the stock shocks..they bolt right into where the shocks go...you should check to see if they make those for your car i dont know for sure if they do all i know is they have them for my truck...thats probably what i will get when i do get bags

Ok, Bags are anywhere from $600 - $1200 per kit (4 bags, compressor, line, and tanks) or $70-$120 per bag (plus compressor and line and tanks). It also depends whether or not you want fast bags, StylinConcepts advertises a 5 hp compressor to fill your tanks quickly (which makes sense for fastbags) , but the compressor alone is $600. So it all depends.

that's dumb, what is a topic with a lot of info is 30days old. Those of us that search would lose out and have to ask again, and end up **** everybody off.

well you gotta draw the line somewhere, and the majority of people don't search anyways, they just ask again, and we answer again... 50% of the posts in history are probably repeats of other posts, so it doesn't make much of a difference anyways. Wipe out the old ones, and then we aren't sitting here taking the time to answer a question that's a year old, originally posted by someone who probably isn't even a member anymore...

I guess the point is people don't use the search engine, but we still answer the questions. Why should we waste our time answering 1 year old questions for nobody? =P

It would be tedious work to go deleting all the "useless" posts.

if some people didn't bring them back for no reason then it wouldn't be a problem having old posts around.

sometimes you don't notice it's an old post though until you've wasted your time giving an answer to the question...

Besides, if we got a FAQ file together and just updated it every once in a while as new questions came up we figured would be a repeat, then we wouldn't need to keep all of the old posts at all. We could have it autodelete anything 30 days old and older and there wouldn't be a problem.

The best way to do it is make a FAQ page and all posts that haven't been responded to in 30 or more days are automatically deleted. If it's a useless just "funny" joke post, who cares if it gets deleted as there are always more funny/useless posts that will come in it's place =)

600 - 1200? HAHAHA, yah, OKAY.

Silent Alero has hydroz, not air.

Air bags are NOT easy to install, and NOTHING is a direct bolt on.
