Well i waxed my car today using turtle wax (in the black container if t means anything) now my question is what do you use for a buffer? I just use random cloths but after a while they clog up with wax and stop buffing right, any other suggestions on what will really bring out the shine? Also any decenmtly priced waxes that you can recommend to bring out my black paint.
Also there are some rock chips that i painted over but is there any way to cover up the chip? And to those with black cars..how DO you keep them clean on a daily basis? I dotn want to spend hours waxing for two days of clean |

first thing get a california duster you can get it at wal-mart or pep boys or any other car place and if your car has some dust on it just run it over and it will take it right off. i like Meguiar's Gold class it works great but i heard Zaino is better but it does cost more. i just use some soft cloths to buff it wash them after i'm done. rock chips, there is no good way that i know of that turtle wax dose come with some stuff but i never used it on my car just on my old white car and it does work some but the real only way is to paint over them. also you can get some detailind spray that you just spray on and wipe off and it make it look like you just wash your car

meguiar's is good wax you could also try the three stage waxes from mothers, they have a 1st stage 2nd and 3rd stage thats supposed to work pretty good. only bad thing is, you have to buy a separate bottle to get the different stages. ones a cleaner wax i dont know what the middle stage is but the final is carnauba wax that works pretty well. i dont know if i would do the car duster i would be afraid it would drag dirt around and scratch it.

the duster don't do anything to your paint i use it on my car, my dads truck and my friend use it on his car that has metal flake in it and he get mad has hell from every small thing that go wround with it, so i think it is worth the money o they are all black cars too and you can see every scratch and dent and it never made a scratch yet

Zaino custom polish is the best by far, but a little pricey. And a California Duster is a MUST if you have a Black car.

meguiar's is what i use, and I have a duster never scratched my car.. and i have a set of towels for the wax, that first one to wipe it all off with and another one to do one last wipe with, got them at murrays...and black car = dirty five mins after i wash it, will be so much nicer when the driveway is paved vs being rocks..stupid dust...

Zaino has a product called "Gloss Enhancer" that you put on after the polish. It eliminates the electro-static so that the dust does not stick to your car. Works real well.

Gopf, the gloss enhancer is $9.95 for a 16 ounce spray bottle. But it says to use it sparingly. It says a spot the size of a dime will do a 1 square foot area. And that one ounce will do the entire car. Tell your dad he's looking younger every day. That should do the trick.
Also, go to http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc and read about it. It will tell you everything. |
