NJ neons

i know theres allready a post about this but the other refers to specific town and so does this one

im from river edge NJ and as most of you probably know, i own the glow-cart (golf-cart with neon lights and CCs on it) well ive been driving it around a bit and i know its not street legal

to date ive been pulled over twice, the first time the cop let me off with an "OH, its you" because im an EMT with the local ambulance corps. the 2nd time the cop was one of the daytime guys that i dont know so he was all in my face about how its illegal to
1)opperate a non-registered vehicle on public roads
2)opperate ANY vehicle on public roads with unapproved aftermarket lighting
3) weave back and forth accross road (it was fun)

so neon lights are illegal in NJ for the most part
ive also seen a celica get pulled over 2 days in a row in Ridgewood for driving with a red UB kit on (the kit looked like he did it himself with red light bulbs so he shoulda been shot ne way)

I drove from Union NJ to Staten Island a few nights ago
via the parkway and 440 and then some highways on staten island with my blue UB kit on and *knock on wood* drove past many cops and troopers and they passed me also and no one said a word

yes, any aftermarket exterior neons are illegal in NJ expcept for red in the back, white in the front, and amber on the sides. And even then, im sure you will still get pulled over. Interior neons as far as i know, from what ive asked cops, are legal, as long as a.) they dont strobe b.) The tubes cant be seen

cant say you didnt have it coming
couldnt you just drive on the sidewalk?
