also anyone know where to buy some bright purple leds that are preaty small?
im looken into doing a real custom instal into my side mirrors to get that new car side turn signal look but i want to use purple leds.

the idea is remove the glass mirror part and use some mirrored plexiglass cut to fit, use a drill and heat it up with a torch and drill the holes out to fit the leds thru from the back. but still flush. probably use somekind a sealer or epoxy to hold the leds into place, and finished off with a mirrored tint to hide the leds while they arent lite up.
sound like a good plan to you???? or should i change something? its got power windows and i havent pulled the glass out yet to see how much actual room is behind it...... kinda iffffy thier

I think you can use some sort of etching liquid to "etch" out an area you don't have marked off with tape.

Look around for something like that...

ok how about this. ive got a twinkle lights purple for home use that has several selectable setings. but anyways. icut one of the bulbs off and hooked it up directly to a car batery and it lights up good and purple. and this light strings got about 70 leds or so. if i could just cut them off the big cord and wire them into the car where i want them what kinda resistor should i use? and i already read somewhere where if each bulb has its own resistor they are brighter, is it realy that much brighter? or would it be fine to have 6of them wired parrellel with a single resistor?
