I'm assuming that the title didn't really make sense, so I'll explain better now...
My plan is to buy an Alpine deck(one of the nicer ones that puts out 60x4 watts) and then get the 3 way Infinity KAPPA 6.5"(63.5i) and the 3 way Infinity KAPPA 6"x9"(693.5i) and then get a 4 channel amp to power them, something that puts out 125 to 175 or so watts x 4... Now to the question - what kind of amp will be able to do that and sound good? Also, I know amps can overheat depending on the brand - what brands are better then others? Thanks for any help that you can give, and if you have any questions, I'll try to explain better. |

I was trying to avoid getting subs just becuase of the cost aspect of things(me being very, very poor). From what I've read about the speakers I mentioned before, they will be good for what I want.
Anybody know anything that could help me? |

you won't get the lows like you do w/ subs. It can be done, but you end up using big 6.5" drivers or 8" 'midbass' drivers. But honestly, subs are worth the money.

i had the same experience, took it out to fiberglass the box and ended up putting it all back in, not quite perfectly done with the 'glass.
