sorry to tell you but that won't do anything because you need to be grounded also, or in other words you need to put it in the top 2 slots of the outlet to have any thing happen

when i was a kid i tried to play bus driver and stuck a key that my dad had into the light socket and got blasted across the room... or so i remember my mom telling me... but that was when we were stationed in germany... maybe the 220 volt sockets are different from 110 volt ones?

I have never done this, but i've heard many stories about it: anybody ever drop a wrench or something onto the positive and negative terminals on their car battery? I hear it's pretty scary....

i hit the wrench on the positive and negative ends of a battery before but that is not the same as having it stay there.

well not a wrench but a wratchet when I was tightening the positive terminal back on the wratchet hit the neg and wouldnt move after it did, .....I let go right away grabbed some wood and beat the reatchet away from the engine..

needless to say, I bought a new battery the same day and replaced the ratchet icon_smile.gif

i took my fuse holder apart (for my sub amp) and was casually moving it around the engine bay when the fuse (that was still in the half of the fuse holder connected to the batter) hit the top of one of the strut tower bolts and gave a nice little fireworks show. it took a small chunk of metal out of both the fuse and the bolt icon_smile.gif

luckily it was just the fuse (thus it was fused, since it WAS the fuse, if that makes sense) so the fuse blew and nothing (and nobody) was harmed. now, it was wasn't fused and it was just 4 guage power cable running directly between the positive terminal and the chassis...that would be a bigger problem icon_eek.gif ( <--- the "shock" smily is very appropriate here)

Anyway, supposedly car batteries can supply up to about 1000 amps...so yeah, thats all i have to say

if they're touching something metal like a metal fence or faucet or something at the same time then they could get shocked.

i watched Recue 911 too much as a kid icon_smile.gif ...anyone else watch that? also Unsolved Mysteries. I have the narrators voices stuck in my head now...William Shatner from Rescue 911 and some other creepy guy from Unsovled Mysteries
