Hey I didn't say everything was overpriced.....you have to admit that the crack shack has a lot of stuff that can be had elsewhere for less.....LEDs are a prime example.

I dont want to sound like an a$$ hole, but can you give an example of a good deal? I shop at a radio shanty as little as possible because what I go for is overpriced. I dont normally look at anything else, hense why I am asking.

Larger electronics such as TVs, home theatre systems, etc. Our cell phones are usually lower than everywhere else, plus we offer discounts on accessories with them. Also other little stuff you'd use around the house but wouldn't really think about buying at Radio Shack, such as clocks, calculators, flash lights, environment stuff like humidifiers, etc.

So if you're going in there for LEDs or something else out of the parts drawers, no, you aren't going to find "deals."

employed at walmart as a prepaid/postpaid cellphone lackey.
intern as a graphic designer for a company that puts together phonebooks for the tristate area.

aken: again, not to bash RS here but i am embarassed to be a USC customer because of the **** idiots/assholes that work for them. i know only TWO people that arent asshats that work for RS/USC and thats you (assuming thats your carrier there) and one chick back home.

[rant]

guy today tried solving my phone (moto v810) randomly discharging by doing this:

1. grabbing my phone from my hand and scraping at the contact terminals at the base of the phone. his claim? my phone wasnt making a good connection w/ the charger. uhhuh. thanks for just TAKING my phone. also, by looking at the data terminals, the phone is perfectly clean. yessir, i take good care of my stuff, and the phone is just about a year old....

2. telling me i should update my prl via *228. i laughed. hard. yes this can cause problems, but in town? where i have full digital reception 24 hours a day? muaha.

3. oh and if those didnt solve the problem, come back and buy a $40 battery.

knothxbye.

not to mention i had to wait around for a rep, since the other **** was too busy trying to push off a $3000 plasma TV to some old folks who definitely had no goddamned intention/idea what was going on. the guy didnt even take the time to say "hey ill be with you in a sec". i had to wait for bumblebeetunafatman to waddle his way out of the break room. "derrrr... have you been helped?"

im sick of RS. i have got a couple good deals there but it aint worth the frustration. ive put up with so much **** from USC reps as well that i have told em i would pay the disconnect fee and take my service elsewere, if they didnt have a monopoly over cell service in our area.

id buy a battery, but i have strong doubts as to that being the problem, as my wife had a phone (repaired 3 times, and BRAND NEW mind you) that did the same thing. they wouldnt replace it, even though it was like 32 days old and had like 30 mins on the talk timer. so, we had to wait nearly 3 months (using a POFS loaner) total in between sending the phone back for "repair".

rawrrrrrr!!!!
i need a gin and tonic.
