ok so last weekend i was driving when all of a sudden all speakers quit working. i was like ok. so i tried changing cds and a bunch of other stuff nothing worked. well last night i took it out of the car hooked it up inside and hooked it up to a speaker it worked fine. put it back in the car worked fine. listened to it on the way to school this morning. then after school it stopped working again. ive asked somehow people what could be wrong and they told me possibly speaker wire. i was just curious about your guys opinons. any help would be awesome.

Or you have a short in a wire, and the cd player is shutting the internal amp off.

Yeah, need more info: stock speakers/wiring? How long was the HU installed before this problem started? Stuff like that...

ok heres some answers to your questions: aftermarket speakers, i had it on like 33 out of like 60 something. but its got stock wiring. and i dont know how long i have had it. 10-11 months.i have had it louder than that with no problem at all so idk. i was gonna replace all the wiring this weekend and go from there. and also sound still gets sent out to the rca cables. if that helps any.
