Well, my fusion kit just arrived:

No extensions
One of the tubes - only 17 of the 43 Blue LEDs will light (no matter what mode, or if I pick a color scheme that incorporates blue).

So... I guess I have to join the club!

And, as far as return shipping goes for the tube? Will they provide a return label - or is it on me?

Sorry to hear that man. Mine worked perfect and I just got it a few days ago. I had no extensions but my cables were long as hell. I dont see how some people need extension unless they started doing the kits with longer cables because I have a Jeep Cherokee and I had to zip tie the rest of the cable under the hood. I had a lot left over.

I can probably manage with what's there, but, it will be barely... I would rather have the extension to be able to route the cables the way I would like to... At least I won't have to worry about a replacement tube - a new one is on the way from the company I bought it from.... I guess I could start mounting it now, and then make the final attachments when I get extensions...

Oh man, my mouth is beginning to drool... This is gonna look so cool (sorry about the rhyme there, wasn't on purpose).

Ahh, yeah, I also remember people complaining about some LEDs being on when they shouldn't (just slightly) - was that because of a controller error, or was it because of the tube itself?

Okay, so I was wrong about not needed the extensions entirely..

Side tubes have the longest cables (doesn't make sense to me) - You would expect that one short tube have the longest cable of the bunch since it would be in the rear...

Nope... Not at all...

My two short tubes have very short cables... One is about 1.5 times it's length, and the other is a little over 2 times...

On the other hand:
The long tube (That's working) has a cable that is about 4 times it's own length.. So, about 200+ inches.
The long tube that's NOT working has a cable that's about 2.5 times it's own length

So, does this mean:
1 short tube for the front
1 short tube for the side
1 long tube for the opposite side
1 long tube for the rear

Yeah, that'll look right!

I have to add to the complaint - cabling is not their forte.... They should have thought that one out a bit more.

you mean they don't have standard length cables for all the tubes? I'm really curious about this company now... do they just pull a rool of cable cut it blindly and ship it off?

All different sizes...

I would have loved:
1 short with long ass cable
1 short with shorter cable
1 long with longer than shorter cable
and
1 long with longer than the long cable

(hehe, figure that one out)

Damn, this sucks though - I still don't know where the hell it's gonna be installed under my Nissan Pathfinder - they didn't think ahead either, no place to mount tubes - them bastards.

My kit had the 2 long side tubes with the same lenght cables. Then I had a front tube with a short cable and a back tube with a long ass cable. So like I said, I guess I was lucky. Everything was there like it was supposed to. The instructions said that there were extensions included if the cables were not long enough but there were no extensions with my kit but I had plenty of slack leftover. Now if my friend would hurry up and Email the pics for me...

So, I started work a number of hours ago...

It took some time to get one side mounted - had to scout the location, and then figure out how to get the wiring going on.. I want to have the distribution block in the cabin...

Luckily, I found rubber grommets near where I mounted the side tube... And they go under the side panel by the seats... So, that was PERFECT. Although, the trouble came when we discovered it wasn't straight through, there were a couple different channels in there, and when I passed the cable through from underneath, it would also go in the front channel (which does NOT connect to the top).

But, found a roundabout way - a Yo yo! Yeah, you read right! A freakin yo-yo saved me... My brother tied the string to the end of a long screwdriver, and passed it through one of the holes from in the car... I was able to grab the string with tweezers, and then tied the end of the cable to it... He pulled it through. BAM... DONE.

And that's ALL I could do.

I got the front tube mounted underneath, but, it comes NO WHERE close to getting to the firewall even! It ends when it get to the end of the wheel well... Yeah, that's how damn short the cable is.

And the problem is - that's the short tube with the LONGER cable... I don't even want to try to mount the rear tube, since the cable on it's only about 50 inches long at the most. That'll probably be enough to get in the cabin, and that's about it.

This sucks.

Now I have 2 tubes... One cabled into the car, the other, I've had to temporarily jam it into a gap in the wheel well. Can't mount the rear tube yet... And the last side tube is the bad one. I still have to call up PlasmaGlow, but they're not open til tomorrow.

Damn bastards.

Does this seem right for wiring the switch?

Yes. That is how you wire the switch.

Thanks for the confirmation - I just had never dealt with a LED switch (the first one I used years ago never worked, so all my switches are just dual leads).

Well, got three of the four tubes down there now... Was able to test two of them... But I can only hookup 1 of the 3...

Damn, I realllllly wish the extensions were in there... I could have 3/4 tubes going right now... Dammit, Jim.

Hmmm... I think I'm gonna have to video this one, it looks NNIIIICCCCEEEEE... And I think I gotta get my glow pedal back on the accelerator (it's been sitting under my floor mat for over a year).

And oh, almost forgot - the 300 LEDs coming in... Damn, that's gonna be a pain in the ass to wire... I have to get my priorities straight on this one.
