if hes talking about one of those "electronic superchargers" or "tornados" then i hope you google it or search here about it. They aren't any good. Just hook a pc fan up in your intake pipe for 14 bux and thats what you got.

Waste of money.

trust me, johnny, nothing short of voodoo will net any significant gas milage increase. and the savings to recover the cost will take years to add up.

best thing to do is keep ur truck tuned up, tires aired up and dont carry excess **** in ur vehicle.

I bough a cat-back exhaust, and they are supposed to increase gas milage, but not really, I tend to like to rev it up every one in a while. icon_lol.gif So if I am supposed to get an increase in gas milage I think so, but I really don't know if it does.

I recently bought a Secrete Weapon-R intake, it cost about 200. While stepping on it I gained about .5 miles to the gallon, while stepping on it about every chance I got. I will take my gas millage and repost it later with out stepping on it. Whatever you put on though, your foot will usually still rob you of a gas mileage increase.
Although, In my old car, an Achieva (3.3 v6), when my parents got it with 22,000 miles on it it averaged 15 miles to the gallon and never got over 18 on highway. When I took it over we tuned it up, made sure the air intake tube was getting enought air, so we put it in front of the radiator, thus giving it more air, and I put on a Magnaflow exhaust with the original cat. I then averaged 25 miles to the gallon in city/highway. I'd say try looking for what the Explorers increase from the Magnaflow exhausts, everyone claims they like the increase from those exhausts.

I hate the sound it gives off for a car. They are made for V8's. It may sound ok for the larger vehicles

the magnaflow on my 4-banger sounds pretty decent providing it is a 4-cylinder. Probably one of the best sounding 4-cylinders I have heard.

What are you high, do not put that crap on your car. If you want better MPG then the most you can do is light bolt ons and a tune (make it run lean as possible and still be street friendly). CAI and header(s) will help increase MPG but nothing to bust a nut over. I know my LPE CAI has given my car a slight boost in fuel economy but in the end it only amounts to a couple of extra miles per tank.

have you even considered that fresh spark plugs, wires, a new O2 sensor, and a clean drop in air filter can boost your mpg more than anything else.

I went from 19mpg highway to 25ish just by doing that stuff to "tune up" my car. Which was running fine.

I clogged or slightly clogged cat can hurt things just as bad.

Then the next step is a CAI and headers. Depending on what kind of engine a lean tune might help too. Remember you drive an Explorer your not suppose to do on gas.
